Pre-Auction AdvicePre-auction Advice

All valuers at Amersham Auction Rooms have the skills to both appraise goods and to advise potential Sellers of their current market values. To assist intending Buyers, the Valuers will invariably advise the Seller that agreed lots should be offered with published price estimates attached and/or be subject to an undisclosed reserve price. This advice will ensure that goods will not be sold below the minimum price expected by the Seller.

Verbal appraisals of items, before being consigned for Auction, are provided free of charge :-

  • Without an appointment between 9.00am and 5.00pm each Friday
  • Between 9.00am and 11.30am each Saturday morning
  • For assessments at other times, an appointment should be made

Where practicable to do so :-

  • Portable items should be brought to the Auction Rooms for appraisal
  • For large items, a Valuer may make a home visit by appointment
  • Owners may also e-mail pictures to the Auction Rooms, where the Valuers will do their best to provide accurate assessments from the images provided
